Management Referrals
A business or organisation may require Occupational Health advice if an employee has been absent from work on a long-term basis, is likely to be absent for more than four weeks at a time, has long- or short-term sickness absences, or there is a pattern of recurring sickness absences.
Workplace Occupational Health provides impartial advice and support regarding medical conditions, mental health issues and potential work related problems that may affect an employee’s attendance or performance at work.
An Occupational Health Nurse Advisor or Occupational Health Physician undertakes a detailed assessment with the employee and provides a clear and concise report that includes:
- The employee’s fitness for work
- A return-to-work plan (if they are absent)
- Any recommendations or adjustments required to support the employee in the workplace
Appointments are offered within the same week upon receipt of a management referral, so there are no long waiting times for employees to be seen by our clinicians.
We use a holistic approach to assessments, which can assist with a successful return to work or help maintain an employee’s attendance.
Our management referral appointments can be carried out remotely via telephone and video consultations, as well as face-to-face at a client’s site.
Workplace Occupational Health provides an Occupational Health report to management and the employee within two working days of the initial management referral appointment taking place.
